【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardappliestohand-heldinstrumentsusedforthedetectionandlocalizationofradioactivephotonemittingmaterials.Theseinstrumentsarehighlysensitivemeaningthattheyaredesignedtodetectslightvariationsintherangeofusualphotonbackgroundcausedmainlybyillicittraffickingorinadvertentmovementofradioactivematerial.Comparedtopocketdevices(seeIEC62401),thishighlysensitiveinstrumentallowsthescanningoflargervolumeitemssuchasvehiclesorcontainers.Theymayalsobeusedinfixedortemporarilyfixedunattendedmodetomonitorcheckpointsorcriticalareas.Theseinstrumentsalsoprovideanindicationoftheambientdoseequivalentratefromphotonradiation.However,thisstandarddoesnotapplytotheperformanceofradiationprotectioninstrumentationwhichiscoveredinIEC60846-1andIEC61526.TheseinstrumentsmayprovideadditionalfunctionsasdescribedbelowwithoutincludingallfeaturesofspecializedportableidentificationdevicesasdefinedbyIEC62327:?rejectingnaturalbackgroundvariationencounteredwhenusedinmovement;?sortingalarmsofinterestfromnaturallyoccurringradioactivematerial(NORM)ormedicalradionuclidesoriginatedalarms;?providesourcecategorizationdata(includinglimitedphotonspectra)toaremotelocation.Theobjectofthisstandardistoestablishperformancerequirementsincludingphysicalcharacteristics,generaltestconditions,radiationcharacteristics,electricalsafety,andenvironmentalconditions.Thisstandardprovidesexamplesofacceptabletestmethodstodetermineifaninstrumentmeetstherequirementsofthisstandard.Theresultsoftestsperformedprovideinformationtousersonthecapabilityofradiationdetectioninstrumentsforreliablydetectingphotonsources.Obtainingoperatingperformancethatmeetsorexceedsthespecificationsasstatedinthisstandarddependsuponproperlyestablishingappropriateoperatingparameters,maintainingcalibration,implementingasuitableresponsetestingandmaintenanceprogram,providingpropertrainingforoperatingpersonnelanddevelopingoperatingproceduresthataddresstheinstrumentlimitationsandcapabilities.
