【摘要】:Thisguidedescribesapproacheswhichcanbeusedtodeterminesurfacesamplingstrategiesbeforeanyactualsurfacesamplingoccurs.Thestrategyselectionprocessneedstoconsideranumberoffactors,including,butnotlimitedto,purposeforsampling,fitnessofthesamplingstrategyforthatpurpose,dataqualityobjectivesandhowthedatawillbeused,abilitytoexecutetheselectedstrategy,andabilityoftheanalyticallaboratory(fixed-siteorin-field)toanalyzethesamplesoncetheyarecollected.Forthepurposesofsampling,andforthematerialssampled,surfacesamplingstrategiesaremattersofchoice.Workplacesamplingmaybeperformedforsingleormultiplepurposes.Conflictsmayarisewhenasinglesamplingstrategyisexpectedtosatisfymultiplepurposes.Limitationsofcost,space,powerrequirements,equipment,personnel,andanalyticalmethodsneedtobeconsideredtoarriveatanoptimumstrategyforeachpurpose.Astrategyintendedtosatisfymultiplepurposeswilltypicallybeacompromiseamongseveralalternatives,andwilltypicallynotbeoptimalforanyonepurpose.Thepurposeorpurposesforsamplingshouldbeexplicitlystatedbeforeasamplingstrategyisselected.Goodpractice,regulatoryandlegalrequirements,costofthesamplingprogram,andtheusefulnessoftheresultsmaybemarkedlydifferentfordifferentpurposesofsampling.Thisguideisintendedforthosewhoarepreparingtoevaluateaworkplaceenvironmentbycollectingsamplesofmetalsormetalloidsonsurfaces,orwhowishtoobtainanunderstandingofwhatinformationcanbeobtainedbysuchsampling.Thisguidecannottaketheplaceofsoundprofessionaljudgmentindevelopmentandexecutionofanysamplingstrategy.Inmostinstances,astrategybasedonastandardpracticeormethodwillneedtobeadjustedduetoconditionsencounteredinthefield.Documentationofanyprofessionaljudgmentsappliedtodevelopmentorexecutionofasamplingstrategyisessential.Thisguideshouldnotbeusedasastand-alonedocumenttoevaluateanygivencontaminantorchemicalspecies.Thesurfacesamplingtechniquesdescribedinthisguideareintendedforthedeterminationofmetalsandmetalloidsonsurfaces,orforthedeterminationofloadingsofembeddedmetallicresiduesinsurfacecoverings.Thesetechniquesmaynotaccuratelyreflectthetransferabilityorbioavailabilityofsuchresiduesbywayofdermalcontactorinhalationofresuspendedrespirabledust.1.1Thisguideprovidescriteriatobeusedindefiningstrategiesforsamplingformetalsandmetalloidsonsurfacesforworkplacehealthandsafetymonitoringorevaluation.1.2Guidanceprovidedbythisstandardisintendedforsamplingofmetalsandmetalloidsonsurfacesforsubsequentanalysisusingmethodssuchasatomicspectrometry,massspectrometry,X-rayfluorescence,ormolecularfluorescence.Guidanceforevaluationofdataaftersampleanalysisisincluded.1.3Samplingforvolatileorganometallicspecies(forexample,trimethyltin)isnotwithinthescopeofthisguide.1.4Samplingtodeterminelevelsofmetalsormetalloidsontheskinisnotwithinthescopeofthisguide.1.5Samplingforairborneparticulatematterisnotwithinthescopeofthisguide.GuideE1370providesinformationonairsamplingstrategies.1.6Wheresurfacesamplingisprescribedbylaworregulation,thisguideisnotintendedtotaketheplaceofanyrequirementsthatmaybespecifiedinsuchlaworregulation.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.8
