【摘要】:1.1Thispracticedescribesaprocedurefordevelopingprecautionarylabelsforartmaterialsandprovideshazardandprecautionarystatementsbaseduponknowledgethatexistsinthescientificandmedicalcommunities.Thispracticeconcernsthosechronichealthhazardsknowntobeassociatedwithaproductorproductcomponent(s),whenthecomponent(s)ispresentinaphysicalform,volume,orconcentrationthatintheopinionofatoxicologist(see2.1.11)hasthepotentialtoproduceachronicadversehealtheffect(s).1.2Thispracticeappliesexclusivelytoartmaterialspackagedinsizesintendedforindividualusersofanyageorthoseparticipatinginasmallgroup.1.3Labelingdeterminationsshallconsiderreasonableforseeableuseormisuse.Theresponsibilityforprecautionarylabelingrestswiththeproducerorrepackagerwhomarketsthematerialsforartorcraftuse.1.4Thispracticedoesnotspecifytestmethodsfordeterminingwhetherasubstanceorproductpresentschronichealthhazards.1.5Thispracticedoesnotapplytoproductsappropriatelylabeledforknownchronichealthhazardsinaccordancewithchemicalsubstancelabelingstandardsandpractices,suchasanothernationalconsensusstandard,existinglabelingstatutes,regulations,orguidelines.1.6Sinceknowledgeaboutchronichealthhazardsisincompleteandwarningscannotcoverallusesofanyproduct,itisnotpossibleforprecautionarylabelingtoensurecompletelysafeuseofanartproduct.1.7Manufacturersorrepackagersmaywishtodetermineindividuallyorcollectivelyprecautionarylabelingforartmaterialsinaccordancewiththispractice.Compliancemaybecertifiedbyacertifyingorganization.GuidelinesforacertifyingorganizationaregiveninAppendixX1.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:1.1Thispracticedescribesaprocedurefordevelopingprecautionarylabelsforartmaterialsandprovideshazardandprecautionarystatementsbaseduponknowledgethatexistsinthescientificandmedicalcommunities.Thispracticeconcernsthosechronichealthhazardsknowntobeassociatedwithaproductorproductcomponent(s),whenthecomponent(s)ispresentinaphysicalform,volume,orconcentrationthatintheopinionofatoxicologist(see2.1.11)hasthepotentialtoproduceachronicadversehealtheffect(s).1.2Thispracticeappliesexclusivelytoartmaterialspackagedinsizesintendedforindividualusersofanyageorthoseparticipatinginasmallgroup.1.3Labelingdeterminationsshallconsiderreasonableforseeableuseormisuse.Theresponsibilityforprecautionarylabelingrestswiththeproducerorrepackagerwhomarketsthematerialsforartorcraftuse.1.4Thispracticedoesnotspecifytestmethodsfordeterminingwhetherasubstanceorproductpresentschronichealthhazards.1.5Thispracticedoesnotapplytoproductsappropriatelylabeledforknownchronichealthhazardsinaccordancewithchemicalsubstancelabelingstandardsandpractices,suchasanothernationalconsensusstandard,existinglabelingstatutes,regulations,orguidelines.1.6Sinceknowledgeaboutchronichealthhazardsisincompleteandwarningscannotcoverallusesofanyproduct,itisnotpossibleforprecautionarylabelingtoensurecompletelysafeuseofanartproduct.1.7Manufacturersorrepackagersmaywishtodetermineindividuallyorcollectivelyprecautionarylabelingforartmaterialsinaccordancewiththispractice.Compliancemaybecertifiedbyacertifyingorganization.GuidelinesforacertifyingorganizationaregiveninAppendixX1.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
